Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Trova (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our website and product. Trova helps restaurants understand how they appear in AI and local discovery searches.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Trova, we may collect:
- Search and restaurant data. When you search for a restaurant (for example by name or address), we use map/Places-style lookup services to identify the location and create or update a restaurant profile (name, address, and related public business details).
- Scan and results data. When you run a visibility check (“scan”), we store scan status, diner-style queries, AI/local discovery observations, competitor signals we derive, scores, and recommendations tied to that restaurant.
- Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication-related data needed to sign you in and manage your workspace.
- Usage and technical data. Standard logs such as device/browser type, IP address, and pages or API routes requested may be processed to operate and secure the service.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies or local storage as needed for authentication, session continuity, and basic product function.
How we use information
- Provide restaurant search, scans, dashboards, and recommendations
- Operate accounts, workspaces, and access controls
- Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and debug issues
- Communicate about your account or service changes when needed
Service providers
We use third-party infrastructure to run Trova. In particular, we may process data with:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and related backend services
- Maps / Places providers — to look up restaurants and public place details
- AI providers — to run diner-style discovery checks and generate high-level analysis (queries and related context may be sent to those providers as needed to produce scan results)
- Hosting, email, analytics, or billing partners (for example Whop, if you purchase through Whop) as required to deliver the product
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices, limited to what is needed to provide their services to us.
Retention
We retain account, restaurant, and scan data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain history you rely on in-product, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us (subject to legitimate retention needs such as security logs or billing records).
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- You can access or update account details while signed in.
- You can request support regarding data access or deletion at support@meettrova.com.
- You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may limit product features (especially sign-in).
Children
Trova is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Trova after an update means you accept the revised policy.
